PLATES
Prepared surfaces,
as of metal or plastic from which printing image begins.
MICR-LINE
HQ and MICR-LINE LP are metal-backed photopolymer letterpress plates.
HQ plates incorporate archival properties for multiple imaging use.
Water-developed and UV-exposed, HQ plates are used for applications involving
long runs, crash printing, applications to magnetized cylinders or forms
printing. LP plates offer a lower cost alternative with the same
image quality as the HQ plate, but without archival ability. Both
plate series offer the Heath quality guarantee. Extensive Heath
research and development have yielded a photopolymer plate system unmatched
in the industry for consistency and quality.
MICR-LINE
Laser Plates provide a cost effective means of imaging check and forms
work. Incorporating a unique surface hardness and topography, our
plates withstand the rigors of the iron oxide found in MICR ink and deliver
an ideal image transfer. The surface coating can be fused at normal
fuser temperatures, allowing imaging through most dry toner imaging devices.
MICR-LINE Laser Plates are available in a variety of stock sizes.
