Prints Clean: MICR-LINE laser plates utilize a clay based coating. It requires no further processing such as etching found with "other" plates. Ease Of Use: A micro-grained surface is incorporated for many benefits on-press. Micro-graining allows the toner particles to fuse effectively and have strong anchor points to the plate surface. In the non-image area, micro-graining yields a surface conducive to holding fountain solution in place. A reservoir is created in the micro-pockets to hold and maintain moisture, allowing easier ink/moisture balance. It is double sided, providing more value per plate. Normal Fusing Temperatures: The coating on a unique micro-grained surface allows the toner particles to fuse into the plate structure at normal fuser temperatures. Unlike other plate technologies that require higher fusing temperatures, MICR-LINE Laser Plates can be used in most dry toner systems. Investments in higher cost laser printers, or the need for off-line fusing units are eliminated. Additionally, higher fuser tempratures often distort the polyester base, which in turn distorts the image. Forms, and especially check printing, require precise placement of image elements. MICR-LINE plates offer an accurate means of meeting critical image element placement and alignment. Press Durability: MICR-Line Laser Plates have been thoroughly tested for all check and forms printing applications. Unlike competetive plates developed for the commercial printing markets, MICR-LINE Laser Plates were developed strictly for forms and check printing professionals. MICR-LINE plates are specially coated to meet the rigorous demands of the press pressures, speeds, roller durometers, blanket durometers and paper substrates used within our markets. Affordable: The MICR-LINE plate system offers significant cost savings over silver and metal plate systems.
